More feathers in Costa Rica’s cap
The accolades for Costa Rica just keep coming.
First, International Living Magazine named the country the number–one place to retire for 2018.
Once again the country was named the happiest in Latin America and one of the happiest places in the world according to the United Nation’s World Happiness Report.
According to the 2017 Global Prosperity Index, Costa Rica is the second most prosperous country in Latin America after Uruguay and 28th in the world.
Because of Costa Rica’s excellent and cradle-to-grave public health care system, the poor in Costa Rica have a higher longevity rate than their counterparts in the United States.
In January 2018 Trip Advisor named San José, Costa Rica as one of the top ten tourist destinations in the world only behind Ishigaki, Japan; Kapaa, Hawaii; Nairobi, Kenia; Halifax, Nova Scotia; and Gdansk, Poland.
Combine all of this with the country’s untarnished international reputation, the Central Valley’s perfect year-round climate, good health care options, friendly people, every imaginable activity to stay busy and happy, NO army or terrorism and a whole lot more and you get the ideal relocation and retirement spot.
