If you are thinking about relocating to Costa Rica this trip is a must
From the moment we arrived, until we were dropped off for departure, Debbie and I were taken care of. Our flight arrived early and two people from Christopher’s team were already there to meet us. One young lady at the baggage claim and a friendly driver outside. That evening Debbie and I had a quiet dinner at the hotel. The next morning after a buffet breakfast, Chris and his driver Santiago were waiting. We boarded the bus and met our fellow tour-mates.
What followed was a wonderful sampling of some of what the South Central coast and Central Valley has to offer. Shopping, medical services, insurance, housing, residency, shipping, pet care, local lifestyle and culture were only some of the topics covered. We heard from and talked to expats who had successfully moved to and now thrive in Costa Rica.
Over the following days we stayed in three wonderful boutique hotels and one exotic cabana. We traveled through the mountains up to 10,000 feet and down to the beaches. Chris and our group bonded over the great food and drink at night and breakfast and lunch during the day. Chris was a great guide, offering interesting commentary and answering questions throughout the tour. At one point, while we were stopped for gas, an American expat, who had relocated to Costa Rica several years back, recognized Chris and stopped to say hello. He had read his book before moving and wanted to say thanks.
Chris took great care to make sure all of us got our questions answered, our food orders correct and our overall well-being tended to. By the end no one wanted to leave. We invited Chris to our group’s farewell get together at the hotel and presented him with a small gift to show our appreciation. We were all pleased that he was able to attend.
If you are thinking about relocating to Costa Rica this trip is a must. Trying to acquire this depth of knowledge on your own would be virtually impossible. Chris brings his 35+ years of living and touring throughout Costa Rica to bear. He knows the best people, the best hotels and the best restaurants. He is fluent in the language and the culture and everywhere we went he was known and greeted as a friend.
The decision to move overseas is a life-altering one and should be as well-informed as possible. Whether this tour confirms your desire to move to Costa Rica or sways you to look elsewhere, it will be money well spent.
